Didier de Fontaine Honored by Northwestern University

Didier de Fontaine was chosen to receive the Distinguished Career Award for Alumni of the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Northwestern University based upon his significant contributions to the field in the areas of phase transformations in alloys, crystallography and thermodynamics of ordering behavior and particularly for his pioneering contributions to calculations of phase equilibria by combined quantum and statistical mechanical methods.
