Haimei Zheng joins Berkeley MSE

Dr. Haimei Zheng joined the Department in July 1, 2013, as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.  Dr. Zheng is currently a staff member in the Materials Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab.  She received her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 2004, from the University of Maryland, College Park.  She came to Berkeley in 2005, and held postdoctoral appointments joint between Physics, MSE and the LBNL National Center for Electron Microscopy, until 2010.  Dr. Zheng's research focuses on the study of physical and chemical processes of materials at the nanometer or atomic scale, using a range of techniques including in-situ transmission electron microscopy measurements of samples in liquid or gas environments.  Dr. Zheng is currently in residence in Singapore, representing MSE in the Singapore-Berkeley Research Initiative for Sustainable Energy (SinBeRISE).
