Professor Fiona Doyle, Donald H. McLaughlin Professor of Mineral Engineering, has accepted appointment to the position of the Dean of the Graduate Division, effective January 1, 2015.  This appointment continues an outstanding record of service in leadership capacities in our Department, the College of Engineering and the Berkeley Campus. Professor Doyle's record has included service as Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and as Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, and as Chair of the Berkeley Division of the Academic Senate.  She currently serves as Executive Associate Dean of the College of Engineering, and as Chief Academic Officer of the Berkeley Education Alliance for Research in Singapore, leading the Singapore-Berkeley Research Initiative for Sustainable Energy. Professor Doyle will bring her experience in campus leadership to her new role overseeing the Graduate Division.
