Professor Peidong Yang wins MacArthur Fellow “Genius” Award

The John D and Catherine T MacArthur Foundation has named Professor Peidong Yang, the S.K. and Angela Chan Distinguished Professor of Energy, as a 2015 recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellows award.  This recognition, commonly referred to as the MacArthur "genius" award, provides generous fellowships to "talented individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits and a marked capacity for self-direction."  Professor Yang is widely recognized for his pioneering work in nanotechnology and energy materials.
