Future Tech Highlighted During Public Works Week

Materials Science & Engineering Professor Oscar Dubón has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor for Equity & Inclusion at UC Berkeley. He previously served as Associate Dean for Equity & Inclusion and Student Affairs for the College of Engineering. As Vice Chancellor for Equity & Inclusion, Professor Dubón will provide leadership to broaden programmatic access; create equitable experiences for students, staff, and faculty; transform the campus climate; facilitate, advise, and consult with the campus on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Additionally, Professor Dubón will continue to bring research to practice in advancing the university’s commitment to building an inclusive, diverse and welcoming campus community.
