Professor Al Balushi, welcome to Cal MSE!

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering is very proud and pleased to announce that Prof. Zakaria Al Balushi will join our faculty as an Assistant Professor effective January 1, 2019.  Prof. Zakaria obtained his B.S., M. S. and Ph. D. from The Pennsylvania State University.  Prof. Zakaria comes to us via his present appointment as the  Resnick Prize Post Doctoral Fellow at the California Institute of Technology.  Prof. Al Balushi’s expertise is in the synthesis and characterization of novel 2D materials, amongst other things.  Prof. Al Balushi, welcome to Cal MSE!
