Berkeley MSE Alum Day 2025 — Saturday Sept. 6

Dear alumni of UC Berkeley Department of Materials Science and Engineering, 

In my role as the Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), I am writing to invite you to our 2025 MSE Alumni Day on Saturday, September 6, 2025, in the Hearst Mining Memorial Building (HMMB) on the UC Berkeley campus. 

As you may be aware, the history of our MSE Department dates to 1868, the year when our alma mater was founded. Over the past 156 years, the MSE Department has not only produced world-class science and technologies in materials research, but also graduated outstanding alumni like you! We are extremely proud of your achievements and appreciative of your loyalty. 

The Alumni Day will start at 1PM in the beautiful lobby of the HMMB, with short talks by our faculty, faculty emeritus, students, and alumni representatives and lab tours, finished with a reception and a catered dinner in the lobby. 

In order to celebrate the glorious history of MSE and to build a stronger network of Berkeley MSE alumni, we hope that you can join us for this MSE Alumni Day.
